Local Author Spotlight: Jan Ruby

Each March, the Scottsdale Public Library highlights one of the authors from our local author book collection. This March, we'd like to introduce you to Jane Frances Ruby, author of The Azurite Encounter. Motivated by favorable student reviews, Ruby published the sequel, Voiceless Whispers, both award-winning novels. Ruby diversified, writing essays and short stories. Her 2017 essay, Surviving the Catholic School from Hell won several awards as did her 2018 short stories, Brutal Hackage and Theories of Decay. She is currently working on a novella about pre-historic Arizona youths making best of a harsh life in the mesas of central Arizona.
