Summer Reading

Just because school is out doesn't mean reading stops! Help us kick off our FREE Summer Reading Program held by the libraries here in Scottsdale! This program will begin June 1 and last until Aug. 1.

Kids, teens and adults of all ages are all invited to participate by logging their minutes online and earn rewards along the way. Participants will also receive a free book upon completion of the program. Join us in all the fun!

Readers who stop in to register on June 1 will be entered into a drawing to win a basket filled with library goodies at Appaloosa Library, Arabian Library, Civic Center Library, and Mustang Library.

Wash Away Your Fines

From June 1-7, all Scottsdale libraries will be participating the annual Wash Away Fines water bottle drive. During the week, each water bottle donated will remove .50 cents in fines owed with a limit of up $24.99 in total. Water bottle donations will be brought to Vista del Camino Community Center Hydration Station to assist those in need this summer.

Mighty Mud Mania Returns for its 44th Year

It's time for muddy family fun at Mighty Mud Mania; 7 a.m. - noon Saturday, June 8. Located in Chaparral park, 5401 N. Hayden Road, MMM offers muddy obstacle courses for every age group and ability level. Adults can run the extreme course for just $10 or accompany their children for free. Be sure to wear your grubbiest lace up tennis shoes and  clothes, as you are likely to get muddy. Admission fee is waived with donation of a non-perishable food item for Vista del Camino's food bank!

Pre-register and pick up your wristbands at one of three locations so you are ready to go on June 8 or pick them up at "Will Call" on event day!
