Native Art & Cultures: Tools of Yesterday

Using the 'Tools of Yesterday' Mr. Royce Manuel uses a hands-on approach to recreate utilitarian objects such as functional bows and arrows, hand-knapped arrowheads and Traditional Agave Kiahas (Pima Burden Baskets). He focuses on elements of the past, the importance of everyday tools and the principles of simpler times.

Mr. Manuel is a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community who has played an important role in perpetuating cultural knowledge.

Whether you are interested in getting in shape, learning a new language or picking up a paint brush - we have the class for you!

Did You Know?

Scottsdale Public libraries provide unique indoor meeting rooms where you can host a small group event, a large neighborhood meeting or business workshop. You can rent a 280-person capacity auditorium or a small 15-person meeting room. Audio/visual equipment is available for rent with a meeting room reservation.

Reservation Office Hours are: 8 a.m. - 4.p.m / Monday - Friday
