What are moral injuries? Moral injury can be defined as the damage done to one's conscience or moral compass when that person perpetrates, witnesses, or fails to prevent acts that transgress their own moral and ethical values or codes of conduct.
Join our speaker; Joe Brett as he shares his journey through a moral injury and shares methods that may help others find their way towards healing.
Joe Brett is a veteran of the war in Vietnam where he incurred a moral wound. He will speak of his own experiences and those of other vets so afflicted. He is a past VP of Arizona based Veterans Heritage Project, and a past President of the Scottsdale Sister Cities Association. He was a project manager for public administration programs in the former Soviet Union and a former executive with the New York State Government. He holds a MPA Degree from Harvard Kennedy School with a focus on International Development.
