Joan Fudala and Doug Sydnor focus on the SHC oral history collection and Scottsdale publications collection.
Program will focus on two unique SHC collections including those local publications that documented Scottsdale history over the decades including Scottsdale Progress, Scottsdale Airpark News, Scottsdale Scene, Scottsdale Independent among many others. In additions, a sampling of the many oral histories by our Old Timers and choreographed with relevant collection images.
Joan Fudala and Doug Sydnor invite you to attend the new Scottsdale Heritage Connection Salon Series, highlighting the library's Scottsdale community history collection.
As authors of 10 books about local history, Joan and Doug have used the Scottsdale Public Library's photo, book, oral history and document collection for their research and writing. They, along with guest experts, will share photos and information on a variety of local themes at each session, and encourage audience participation.
