Arizona travel writer Roger Naylor will discuss his book The Amazing Kolb Brothers of Grand Canyon which covers the remarkable life of two of the canyon’s most significant pioneers and legendary photographers. Roger Naylor’s work has appeared in the Arizona Republic, The Guardian, USA Today, Arizona Highways, and dozens more. For years he has written for the official Arizona State Visitor Guide and in 2019 was chosen to write the Grand Canyon National Park Centennial Magazine. He is currently the narrator of the Verde Canyon Railroad, guiding visitors through the stunning desert landscape. Register.

In November, Scottsdale will pay tribute to veterans and active-duty service members with a series of special events and displays. Highlights include the Scottsdale Salutes banner program in Old Town, the Army vs. Navy polo match at WestWorld featuring Scottsdale veterans in a ceremonial "first drop," a Veterans Day hike in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and the city’s annual Veterans Day Commemoration at the City Hall Memorial Lawn.
