Special EventsArts and Crafts Fair
Join us for the annual Arts and Crafts Fair! This free, all ages event will feature over 100 arts and crafts booths, a balloon artist, live entertainment, a petting zoo, coffee and concessions and local food trucks. Spend an afternoon gathering with friends, family and the community for a Thanksgiving Luncheon. Both senior centers will come together for a delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal, entertainment, raffle prizes and fellowship. Registration is required.

Duplicate Sanction Bridge

Grab a partner and join us for weekly Sanction Duplicate Bridge. Players are allowed to sign up online one month at a time. There will be no refunds or transfers once payment is made. This free, arts-based program is for individuals with mild to moderate memory loss and their caregivers. A collaboration between Scottsdale Senior Services and Scottsdale Arts, workshops are led by professional artists that help individuals and their caregivers create meaningful memories through creative engagement. Sound Bath & Meditation

Unwind from the outside world with a sound bath with singing bowls. You can chose to sit on a chair or recline on the floor to enjoy the soothing sounds of crystal and Tibetan healing bowls, chimes and rain sticks. Participate in a guided meditation with ancient wisdom. This experience offers total rest, restoration and well-being. Register.

Arizona travel writer Roger Naylor will discuss his book The Amazing Kolb Brothers of Grand Canyon which covers the remarkable life of two of the canyon’s most significant pioneers and legendary photographers. Roger Naylor’s work has appeared in the Arizona Republic, The Guardian, USA Today, Arizona Highways, and dozens more. For years he has written for the official Arizona State Visitor Guide and in 2019 was chosen to write the Grand Canyon National Park Centennial Magazine. He is currently the narrator of the Verde Canyon Railroad, guiding visitors through the stunning desert landscape. Register.

The Old Town Scottsdale calendar is filled with events this season with an expected surge in visitors over the next several months. To ensure the highest level of safety and quality at these events, in some cases, public areas will be restricted. This includes limited access to the Scottsdale Civic Center surrounding the Dreamy Draw Music Festival and Every Woman's Marathon.
- Wednesday, Nov. 5 – Sunday, Nov. 8: Full closure beginning at the end of the business day on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
- Monday, Nov. 9 – Wednesday, Nov. 12: Limited access, open on the north side only via east/west access points beginning midday.
- Thursday, Nov. 13 – Sunday, Nov. 16: Full closure
- Monday, Nov. 17: Limited access. The Scottsdale Civic Center will reopen in stages as teams safely load out equipment.

Scottsdale Honors Veterans Through Special Events and Community Tributes

In November, Scottsdale will pay tribute to veterans and active-duty service members with a series of special events and displays. Highlights include the Scottsdale Salutes banner program in Old Town, the Army vs. Navy polo match at WestWorld featuring Scottsdale veterans in a ceremonial "first drop," a Veterans Day hike in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and the city’s annual Veterans Day Commemoration at the City Hall Memorial Lawn.
