At the heart of Scottsdale's Community Action Program at Vista del Camino Community Center is Human Services Operations Supervisor, Elizabeth Heavenrich. Elizabeth has been a dedicated member of the Vista del Camino team from the start. From a part-time caseworker to now a supervisor, her dedication to Scottsdale residents has been unwavering.
Elizabeth assists Scottsdale residents gain access to essential services such as rent, utility and mortgage assistance. She ensures that applications are reviewed thoroughly and processed accurately to provide quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with funding policies, which are critical for sustaining vital community resources.
Although she manages operations, Elizabeth remains deeply connected to the human side of her job, taking calls from residents in crisis, offering guidance on applications and connecting residents to resources. "We do our best to keep Scottsdale residents in their homes and keep their lights on," she says — a simple phrase that captures the heart of her mission.
