Stacey Worrell has a long history with the City of Scottsdale, first joining the organization in 2005 at the Via Linda Senior Center. After several years away, she returned four years ago to the Paiute Neighborhood Center, where she continues to make a meaningful impact every day.
When asked what she enjoys most about her work at Paiute, Stacey shared that it's the variety - and the people - that make each day special. Her responsibilities span everything from managing facilities to supporting the regulars who participate in Paiute's programs. She is passionate about helping the center serve as a "third place,'' a safe and welcoming environment where community members can connect, access resources and enjoy enriching activities. Stacey especially enjoys planning special events and appreciates the encouragement she receives from her leadership team to bring creative, community focused ideas to life.
Stacey is particularly proud of the Pillars of Light Project, an initiative she envisioned and brought to fruition. What started as a small idea grew into a collaborative effort in which groups painted light posts around a shared community theme. The project brought together organizations, residents and visitors, symbolizing unity and creativity across the neighborhood. She also takes pride in promoting wellness within her team, encouraging regular campus walks that boost energy, enhance morale and foster connection.
Stacey's passion for people, creativity and community shines throughout her work, making her an invaluable part of the Paiute Neighborhood Center team.
