Scottsdale, Arizona (May 9, 2026) Five adult males have been arrested in connection with a series of shootings and violent incidents that occurred during the early morning hours of May 6, 2026, near Camelback Road and Miller Road in Scottsdale. Investigators identified the suspects as being involved in multiple shootings and related violent criminal activity throughout the area. All suspects were booked into jail on various felony offenses, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misconduct involving weapons, unlawful discharge of firearms, and resisting arrest.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, Scottsdale Police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots being fired at the Circle K convenience store located near Camelback Road and Miller Road. Responding officers arrived and confirmed that numerous rounds had been fired, with several striking the business and surrounding areas.

While officers were actively investigating the initial scene, additional gunfire erupted near an apartment complex east of the original incident. Officers and detectives immediately began searching the area for suspects, victims, and evidence related to the shootings.

During the investigation and extensive search, officers located 20-year-old Christian Santiago Grant hiding inside a clothes dryer at a nearby residence in the 4600 block of North Miller Road. Grant was taken into custody by the Scottsdale Police Special Assignments Unit and initially booked on charges of criminal damage and resisting arrest. Following additional investigation and search warrant operations conducted on May 8, Grant was re-arrested and booked on an additional charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

20-year-old Brandon Lamont Robert Warfield Jr. was located near East Hazelwood Street after an officer-involved shooting occurred during the search for suspects. Warfield was arrested and booked on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and first-degree criminal trespass. Warfield sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the encounter and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

20-year-old Fredrion Lleon Arnes Thomas was contacted by officers near the Maya Condos during the initial patrol response and was taken into custody. He was booked on charges of misconduct involving weapons as a prohibited possessor, discharge of a firearm at a non-residential structure, discharge of a firearm within city limits, and disorderly conduct involving a weapon.

29-year-old Quassan Marcus Cunningham was initially arrested on May 6 for first-degree criminal trespass and failure to obey a police officer after officers located him near the active crime scenes. On May 8, Cunningham was re-arrested during coordinated search warrant operations conducted by Scottsdale detectives and the Scottsdale Police Special Assignments Unit. He was subsequently booked on an additional charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On May 8, detectives and members of the Scottsdale Police Special Assignments Unit served multiple search warrants throughout the Valley as part of this ongoing investigation. Detectives collected firearms evidence, surveillance footage, witness statements, forensic evidence, and additional investigative information linking the suspects to the shootings.

“Our officers, detectives, and professional staff responded to an incredibly chaotic and dangerous incident with professionalism, courage, and urgency,” said Scottsdale Police Chief Joe LeDuc. “Their work over the last several days was outstanding and led to the arrest of all individuals connected to this violence. This case is another example of the relentless commitment we have to protecting this community and holding violent offenders accountable. If you come into Scottsdale and commit violent crimes, you will be pursued and brought to justice. We will not tolerate this kind of behavior in our city.”

Thankfully, no community members or Scottsdale Police officers were injured during the initial shootings. The investigation remains active and additional charges may be forthcoming.
