Meet Traci Weis, supervisor of Scottsdale's Family Resource Center. Traci first joined the city in 2017, playing a key role in opening the center and shaping its early direction. With a background in education, she was immediately drawn to the center's mission to strengthen, nurture, and connect families.
After stepping away for four years to raise her daughter, Traci returned to the work she loves, leading programs that empower parents and support early childhood development. Under her leadership, the center offers classes, workshops, support groups and parent child activities, along with essential items including diapers, car seats, formula and food boxes. These no cost services are funded by the First Things First grant and supported by partners including Partners for Paiute and Scottsdale Leadership teams, who help enhance the center’s offerings and space. Together, they ensure families receive meaningful, high quality support during the most critical years of a child's life.
Traci is honored by the trust families place in her team. Many parents don’t know this kind of help exists, and once they discover it, they’re deeply grateful, sometimes even asking,
"What's the catch?" The answer is simple: there isn't one. The center exists to uplift families, prevent child abuse and give children the strongest possible start.
Outside of work, Traci lives in Mesa and enjoys spending time with her husband and their eight year old daughter. A former teacher, she loved being in the classroom but feels truly called to work directly with families and young children. Human Services is fortunate to have someone who brings such joy, positivity, and compassion to parents navigating moments of uncertainty and vulnerability.
