Fun with Math and Science

Fun with Math and Science

Join us as we explore math and science concepts in an interactive, playful way! Based on the Arizona Early Learning standards for math and science, this six-week course will explore concepts and introduce strategies you can use with your child to help build and strengthen their mathematical and scientific thinking skills. Registration is required.

Registrants are expected to attend all six weeks; there is no program on 11/24 due to Thanksgiving holiday.

"A Man and a Voice" to Beniamino Gigli

A biographical film about Gigli (1890-1957) covering the revelation of his vocal gift, through his apprenticeship in Rome and his admission to the Santa Cecilia Academy, which marked the beginning of his success. Virtual Memory Cafés are designed for community members with Alzheimer's or dementia (along with their caregivers) to provide a virtual place to go and have wonderful interactive social experiences. Kanopy

Kanopy is a free library service for streaming award-winning films, classics, series, documentaries, and much more. Included is Kanopy Kids, a special screening room with PBS, Sesame Street, and more fun. For adult learners, there are the Great Courses which provide lecture videos on hundreds of interesting topics. There is something for everyone at Kanopy that will inspire, enrich, and entertain through stellar streaming films.

For a limited time, get access to Ancestry.com from home! Through December 31, this first-class genealogy database of Ancestry.com allows library card holders to access their full archive of historical documents. These include Vital Records, digitized Freedman's Bureau records, Census, immigration records and photos to help bring your family history to life.
