We will explore the different types of annuities available as well as their primary uses while uncovering what is behind some of the lofty promises. Registration is required. This program is brought to you by non-profit, Foundation for Personal Financial Education, dedicated to providing communities with a consistent resource through unbiased classes that are free of sales.

Workforce Development & Assistance

Chromebooks for job searches, resumes, and job training are now available for in-library check-out at Mustang Library. A valid ID and Scottsdale Public Library card in good standing are required for check-out. Workforce Chromebooks are available thanks to funds from a grant through the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

Looking for tax forms? Free Federal 1040 and Arizona 140 forms are now available at all library branch locations, including at drive-thru windows and curbside hold pick up.

Digital Newsstand

Stay up on current events with reliable newspaper access to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Get your local paper daily through Pressreader newspaper digital library, including the Arizona Republic without a subscription. Newspapers are a wonderful research and historical source that can be found through Newspaper Archives while small and local papers can be searched going all the way back to 1859. This digital newsstand is available for free with just your library card!

The Friends of the Scottdale Public Library is pleased to host local Arizona author Wynne Brown at the Museum of the West. Enjoy a free conversation and book signing with Brown, author of "The Forgotten Botanist: Sara Plummer Lemmon’s Life of Science and Art". Friends members will receive a special meet-and-greet session with Brown. Space is limited and registration is required for this free event.
