(ages 3-5) This six-week series is designed to focus on children's approaches to learning, both socially and academically. Each session uses books, songs and parent/child interactions to help develop one of the most important domains in child development – how to learn. Registration is required and participants are expected to attend all six weeks.

Join award-winning Scottsdale architect Douglas B. Sydnor for a presentation on Scottsdale history and preservation on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the program, which works to increase public awareness of Scottsdale's heritage while identifying historic and cultural resources and preserving and protecting the structures that best represent Scottsdale's past. The presentation begins at 5:30 p.m. but stop in few minutes early to enjoy light snacks and a cool beverage.

Scottsdale Public Library celebrated the Friends of Scottsdale Public Library during National Friends of Libraries Week from Oct. 16-22. Interested in joining the Friends? Stop by any of our Scottsdale Public Library branch locations to pick up a brochure or print one here.
Also, throughout November, the Friends is sponsoring a fundraiser with Krispy Kreme donuts; purchase a dozen donuts using this link and the Friends will receive 33% of the proceeds to raise money towards Scottsdale Public Library programs.

All Scottsdale Public Library locations will be closed Friday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day. All locations will also close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 and remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
