Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program

We are "All Together Now" for this year’s Summer Reading Program! Studies have shown that reading through the summer successfully prevents the dreaded “summer slide” so that kids and teens go back to school in the fall ready to learn. With a program for every age, adults can also join in on the fun! Get points through reading, participate in programs and enter secret codes and be eligible for prizes all summer long, including a free book for those who achieve 1,000 points by the end of the program.

Special thanks to The Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library for their support of this program. For more details and to sign-up, visit ScottsdaleLibrary.org/summer-reading.

Scottsdale Needs Water Bottle Donations

Scottsdale Needs Water Bottle Donations

Scottsdale is providing heat relief to those in need this summer. The city's eight hydration and cooling stations rely on donations from the public to meet the high demand in Scottsdale. Hydration stations offer free bottled water and a place where people can cool off from the summer heat through Sept. 30. All eight locations are in desperate need of water bottle donations. Here are the hydration station locations where you can donate water:
