Captain Larry Ernst will share his background and experience as a veteran.
Capt. Larry Ernst, United States Navy, retired. A fighter pilot during the Vietnam War, Ernst flew more than 100 combat missions from the deck of the USS Kitty Hawk. During more than 25 years of military service, he accumulated more than 4,500 hours of flying time in 36 different aircraft and served as both a test pilot and as a fighter pilot instructor at the Navy’s famed TOP GUN program. He also commanded two fighter squadrons and was the final commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS Midway, prior to its decommissioning and eventual rebirth as a floating museum.
